Tricia has been in the beauty industry for over 13 years, and has studied at some of the most prestigious advanced academies across the country. She has acquired numerous Advanced Academy Master Diplomas from Vidal Sassoon, Paul Mitchell, Aveda, Toni & Guy, & Rusk. Her education also includes Advanced Academy Classes from Schwarzkopf, Redken, American Crew, Bumble & Bumble, and Goldwell to name a few. Tricia has also been part of the Aveda Styling team during Fashion Week in New York & Los Angeles. Tricia strives to find esteemed classes where she can learn the newest trends, and modern twists for classic styles.

A true artist, Tricia loves creating new looks for her clients. She loves the persistent change in the hair industry, and how history always seems to repeat itself with an added modern twist. Tricia loves to take classic styles and add her own artistic spin. Her passion began at the young age of 12 when she began cutting her grandfather’s hair. In high school, Tricia was the ‘Go To’ girl for all her friends hair needs. Whether she was concocting a color correction to fix their self done hair, or styling their hair for school dances, they knew they could trust Tricia with their locks. She always considered becoming a hair dresser as a career, but didn’t pursue it until her mother advocated to her what an amazing and talented hair stylist she would make. As she embarked on her career, she began to dream up and envision of what her own salon would look like, but she never imagined how successful and cultivating Ultra Lux would become.

Tricia met Deanna in beauty school and they instantly clicked with their shared passion for the art of doing hair. They then went on to work together for over 4 years in a Manhattan Beach salon before deciding to open up Ultra Lux and finally live their dream of opening up their own salon in 2002. When an Investor came to Tricia and proposed to her the opportunity to open a salon, she immediately thought of Deanna, and their combined dreams of creating the beauty shop they had envisioned for years. They then opened Ultra Lux Salon, which at the time consisted of 4 Stations, and 4 employees, and has from then grown to more than 15 employees, doubled in size, and has become a renowned Southern California business. Tricia accredits her son Travis for inspiring her life every day, and driving her ambition to levels she never imagined attainable.

With over 12 years experience in the beauty industry, Owner Deanna’s education is beyond extensive! She has trained with advanced academy’s across the country including, Aveda, Redken, Vidal Sassoon, Tigi, Goldwell, Bumble & Bumble, American Crew, and Paul Mitchell to name a few. She has also been part of the Aveda styling team during Fashion Week in New York & Los Angeles. Deanna continues to attend advanced education on a regular basis to learn new styles, trends, and refresh on classic styles. Growing up, Deanna always loved cutting and coloring her hair, and always had a huge interest in fashion & the beauty industry. When Deanna got to high school, her father recommended her becoming a hair dresser, and she’s never looked back. She loves the creativity she gets to have, and creating beautiful changes for her clients. Whether they are looking to cut their long hair into a short bob, or change their black tresses to a beautiful bright red, they know that Deanna will always make them look exactly how they envisioned, plus her added twist to give their hair that extra custom look! Deanna gets the upmost satisfaction out of seeing the gleaming look on her client’s faces when they see their stunning hair.

Deanna always dreamt of opening her own business, but couldn’t have even imagined all the amazing things that would come along with it. Deanna & Tricia met in beauty school and instantly clicked with their shared passion for the art of doing hair. They then went on to work together for over 4 years in a Manhattan Beach salon before deciding to open up Ultra Lux and finally live their dream of opening up their own business in 2002. Having no business experience at the time, they learned everything they know along the way. Learning along the way sure had its benefits for Ultra Lux! The salon started at just over 700 sq. ft., 4 stations, and 4 employees, and in 2004 expanded to what Ultra Lux has become today, a whopping 1575 sq. ft salon with 10 stations, and 15 employees. Deanna’s dream of owning her own business came true, and she has gained so many wonderful things along the way including friendship with Ultra Lux’s amazing team of stylists, a wonderful clientele, and a constantly growing business that has firmly left its mark in the beauty industry.

Sara has been in the Beauty Industry for over 7 years, working as a makeup artist and stylist. Sara has the unique opportunity to be licensed in skin care and cosmetology, with advanced training from the Studio Makeup Academy in Hollywood as well as Aveda Academy classes in color and cutting. Sara loves to create a meaningful experience for her clients. Hair and styling are essential to Sara, so she intensely listens to her client’s every need to give them the best style and insure they are always 100% satisfied. Sara also has a lot of experience working in production with various television networks. Through this, she has beautified some of Hollywood’s most attractive celebrities. Sara’s creativity and talent truly show through in her work and is always reflected in her client’s satisfaction.

Jennifer’s highly imaginative perception of art and beauty accounts for six years of professional experience in the exquisite industry of hair. Often waging war with the nature of her own hair, she has tendered much success at sculpting out the sleek in each of her clients. She has received education from accomplished academies and inventors such as Aveda, Deva Curl, Toni and Guy, and Maurice Tidy of Vidal Sassoon. Having been raised in Los Angeles, prominent for fame and fashion, she draws her creative inspiration for hair design from time-honored expression of past decades. Far afield from the conventional, Jennifer allows for her originality to current in and out of the workplace. Her passion for drawing, painting, and music is continuously manifested in the artistry of the field she adores so much.

 

Angie has always had an enthusiasm for the beauty & fashion industries. Even at a young age, she knew that one way or another, her career would somehow involve these industries as it was her calling. While in high school, Angie worked for one of the top retail department stores at the time, where she discovered she had a passion for merchandising and customer relations. She then decided to register for SCROC where she received an accreditation in Retail Merchandising. After high school, Angie attended the Art Institute of California where she learned about the business and history of fashion. At the institute she studied a variety of subjects ranging from retailing, marketing, manufacturing and visual merchandising to more specific courses like consumer behavior, fashion cycles, store planning, and event production. Angie also began working as a waitress & bartender while attending college. Working in this field allowed her to learn the importance of customer service along with giving her the skills needed to handle any high stress situations that came her way. She enjoyed meeting new people, networking, and providing superior service standards that were acknowledged by her managers by awards given to her. Angie’s outgoing personality and knowledge of the business proved to be beneficial early on in her career as she became the general manager of a clothing boutique straight out of college. Though this would be the first time she would be running a store on her own, her education along with her work experience made her feel like she was right at home. As the general manager, Angie was responsible for supervising employees and running the store at a profit. She came up with marketing plans that attracted and increased clientele. She also was constantly moving merchandise to benefit the store. She always made sure that the store offered products and services that satisfied the needs and desires of their customers. With Angie’s focused education and work experience, she is able to channel both, creative abilities and her business sense, to Ultra Lux Salon & Lounge. She looks forward to the challenge that the beauty industry brings and thrives in providing a staff of only the best in service and customer relations. Angie’s strong passion for the beauty industry, retail skills, exceptional organizational skills, and leadership experience in customer service are some of the qualities that she has to offer as Manager of Ultra Lux Salon & Lounge.

When Nicole discovered Ultra Lux Salon and Lounge she knew it was love at first sight. Her passion for the 50’s and 60’s have her feeling right at home on the Ultra Lux team. With a personality as vibrant as her hair, Nicole has always had a fascination for the hair industry. Nicole began her career with a strong foundation having graduated the Paul Mitchell Academy in Orange County. She worked with the design team which led her to excel in school, her skills often catching the eye of her superiors.  Nicole’s fearless attitude proved true when jumping into projects such as hair and make-up for high profile events and fashion shows all around the Los Angeles area. Always staying current with the latest trends and styles, Nicole is constantly improving herself by learning new techniques and methods taught by the industries finest. Having received thorough training in lines such as Aveda, Wella, Paul Mitchell, Redken, and personal training with Maurice Tidy of Vidal Sasoon, she is sure to provide top industry work for her clients. With her extensive knowledge in areas such as cuts, colors, extensions, and up-do’s she offers the total package. Nicole prides herself on creating the best possible experience for her clients. She is sure to make any client feel as marvelous as they look by the time they leave her chair.

 

Vanessa has loved the fashion and hair industry for as long as she can remember. She knew right away where she wanted to go, and soon attended The Aveda Institute Chicago. There, her love for hair grew to be one of her biggest passions. During her time at the institute she attended many advanced education classes with world renowned hairstylists such as Ted Gibson and Yosh Toya. During her studies she was recognized for her talent and was given the opportunity to do up dos for Travis Reed's upcoming textbook. Through that she fell in love with doing editorial shoots. Vanessa then went on to do hair for numerous photo shoots and fashion shows working with Ford and Elite models. She preformed crazy avant-garde  to beautiful, classy, and  modern up dos. She loves to incorporate her skills into modern and bridal up dos that she does on her clients now. After graduating top in her class, she moved on and worked in one of Chicago's best salons. There, Vanessa took part in a training program noted in Salon Today's magazine. She then took advanced color and cutting classes at The Aveda Institute and through Goldwell specialists to keep up with new trends. She was taught through worldwide educated stylist how to master basic cuts, and new, upcoming styles. Vanessa went on to coordinate, direct, and do hair and makeup for fashion shows and films. Vanessa wanted to expand her horizon and explore her opportunities so she made her way down to southern California. She loves to use her experience on whoever sits in her chair. Her one on one time with her clients is her favorite, and truly takes the time to hear what her client’s needs are. She welcomes you to come into Ultra Lux's creative atmosphere where you will feel comfortable while still having a fun escape from everyday life!

Madison was born for the beauty industry.  She found her calling at a young age while living in Long Beach.  Her love affair for vintage style updo’s and fashion blossomed when she was competing in hair competitions.  She took her passion for hair and moved to the South Bay where she currently lives. Madison has taken and continues to take education classes such as Aveda Academy, Paul Mitchell, Sebastian, Goldwell, Redken, and has received personal training from the amazing Maurice Tidy of Vidal Sassoon in order to stay up to date with the current trends and techniques.

Madison's skills, style and personality are one of a kind. She has a knack for making her clients feel at home (or ease) while in her chair.  She projects imagination, innovation and beauty to each and every one of her clients.

 

Jessie has always had an artistic eye and a knack for hair and makeup. She always knew she wanted a career in the beauty industry. Six years ago, Jessie enrolled in cosmetology school and completed high school and beauty school simultaneously. She has since continued her training at academies such as Aveda, Vidal Sassoon, American Crew, and has been fortunate enough to attend a workshops with Maurice Tidy. Jessie is passionate about helping her clients look and feel great and finds importance in educating her clients so they feel comfortable replicating their new look at home. Jessie not only draws inspiration from her everyday surroundings, but also working beside her amazing colleagues at Ultra Lux. She enjoys the creative challenges behind the art of hair color and is constantly striving to further her education in all aspects of the industry.
